Best House Entertainment, organizers of the Golden City Music Awards, have launched the 1st edition of the annual event.
This year’s edition dubbed ‘Promoting Essential Music In The West’ is expected to bring together musical legends from the Cities.
At the launch of the 2018 edition, Public Relations Officer of the Golden City Music Awards (GCMA) Roy Dennison said, the award scheme intends to reward all artistes from the cities in the western region where natural resource (Gold) are held from.
“Anyone who is an artiste from the Western Region where there is mining automatically qualifies for the awards”.
This year’s award seeks to review songs produced and played in 2017.
“The year under review is 2017, and our 2017 calendar year starts from 1st January, 2017 to June, 2018”.
According to the PRO, there will be 25 categories for the awards, which will be grouped under general and industry/technical assessment.
The event is slated for Saturday December 22nd and nominations are open to interested artistes in the region.
