Contemporary highlife group Wutah has advised hiplife duo Dobble to reunite after the group parted ways last year.
Wutah, who themselves had separated in 2009 and only came back together in 2017, described Dobble as their favourite group and, therefore, urged them to take a cue from them to reunite to produce the good music they have been doing since they hit the limelight.
Speaking on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM on Saturday 27 May, one member of the group, Afriyie (Frank Osei), said:
“Personally, I love Dobble, no jokes. The first time I heard them it took me back to when I started with my bother – the way one would sing and the other one will come in with his own thing. So if they are listening I beg them,
individually they are good, as a group too they are good, but they should just look at the bigger picture. We know people have dreams, personal aspirations...but I don’t know what caused [their breakup], but I think personally they should unite.
“I wish and recommend they come back together. Dobble, please come back together and give us more good [songs].”
Wutah Kobby, on his part, disclosed to show host Bismark Boachie (DJ Premier) that Dobble was working on reuniting. “They are working it out, it’s just a matter of time. Dobble, if you ask me, is my favourite group and when I heard they had separated I was hurt. I‘ve spoken to both parties and told them in the end good music wins despite their differences,” he said.
EnnWai and Paa Kwasi make up the group Dobble. The duo released countless hits and performed on several big stages before going solo.
Some of their hit songs include Walahi Talahi, Good Mood, Adiepena, Otan Ni Aduro, 1 Click, Only U, Guerro, Spark Ma Moto, Deepest Side (ft Shatta Wale) What Can Come Can Come (ft Bisa Kdei) among others.
