The musical duo, Galaxy, says recording a song against the galamsey menace will not add any value to their brand.
Bra Chiky and Kwasi Dav, who make up the Ashaiman Afro Pop group, assert that they are business minded musicians who do not believe a song against galamsey can boost their audience appeal.
“We are business people, we do music to sell and I don’t think the consumers are ready to buy this kind of music so singing about galamsey I don’t think is going to get that audience appeal,” said Kwasi Dav.
Asked why most musicians prefer to sing either about a woman’s body or food, the other member of the group, Bra Chiky told JoyNews’ MzGee that the idea is to win the hearts of the ladies.
“We do songs based on things that happen around us. Gallaxy, we always sing about women because we love our mums and sisters too,” he explained
