Shatta Wale's international appeal is weak - Baby Cash CEO

Chief Executive Officer for Baby Cash Records, Cynthia Mireku, popularly known as Baby Cash, has observed that the brand image of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is not strong enough on the international stage, hence her office intends to take over the management of the artiste to further project him on the international scene.

According to the Belgium-based Ghanaian entertainment personality, although the Kakai hit maker seems to be doing well on the local scene, it was important to break unto the international space to further expose Ghanaian music talent.

Her comments come at a time Shatta Wale has said he is unperturbed he was not nominated for the 2017 BET Awards to be held on Sunday, June 25, in Los Angeles.

This follows the nomination of his compatriot and fellow dancehall musician Stonebwoy for the prestigious award.

Stonebwoy was nominated alongside AKA (South Africa), Babes Wodumo (South Africa), Davido (Nigeria), Nasty C (South Africa), Tekno (Nigeria), Wizkid (Nigeria) and Mr Eazi (Nigeria) for the coveted Best International Act - Africa award which he won previously in 2015.

A day after fans took to social media to laud Stonebwoy for the nomination while others mocked Shatta Wale for being overlooked once again, the Taking Over singer, in what appeared to be a response to such fans, tweeted: "My B.E.C.E certificate sef ano know where edeh. Then we deh come worry about BET...#Money deh call me for my brain...."

"Our coming on board will propel the artiste to international glory."
