There was no quiver in his voice as he made the bold declaration of winning the first National Academy of Science & Recording Sciences award (Grammy) for Ghana.
“I will win Ghana’s first Grammy” – Blakk Rasta, made this statement at the official launch of his eighth album, ‘Kuchoko Revolution’.
The confidence in the declaration of that wish is justified because, it is a good album and most-importantly, it is under the distribution of international record label – VP Records.
Blakk Rasta is the first Ghanaian reggae artist is to be signed to VP Records, the same label that has produced lots of winners for the ‘Best Reggae’ category at the Grammys.
The ‘Kuchoko Revolution’ launch was attended by high-profile personalities including Kwesi Pratt, who launched the album.
Blakk Rasta is also prepping his highly-anticipated concert,’Blakk Rasta Kuchoko Roots Festival’, slated for May 21, 2017 at the La Boma Beach
