Wutah is back for good – Management assures

Wutah, which means fire in Hausa, came into the limelight when they placed second to Praye during the maiden edition of the Nescafe Africa Revelation music competition in Accra in 2004.

Their debut album, ‘Anamontuo’, with songs like ‘Adonko’, ‘Gossy Gander’ and ‘Big Dreams’ earned them eleven Ghana Music Award nominations including the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’, ‘Album of the Year’, and ‘Artiste of the Year’.
After chalking up some successes, they went their separate ways in 2009 due to rumoured bickering between them.

They plied solo careers after that with each one struggling to achieve any meaningful success on their own in the music industry.
After weeks of speculations that Ghanaians may see the comeback of Wutah, Nana Kojo Afreh, PR and Communications Director of Wutah Family International, told Hitz FM’s Doreen Avio that they had no choice but to heed the calls of their fans.
“The group is back together as Wutah. I am confirming that to you on authority,” he revealed.
Asked why they denied several rumours that the group was coming back, Mr Afreh explained that, “I believe that in everything you do, you need to take concrete steps to ensure that it works and it works very well. Yes, it was in the news sometime that the group [was] back but at that time, things had not been really ironed out for it to happen. We were all waiting for the right time for this to happen.”
Wutah had their first performance together as a group since their split at Harey Adjoa Yeboa-Asuama (Ohemaa Woyeje), host of ‘Work and Happiness’ on Adom FM, and her sweetheart, Emmanuel Yaw Owusu Kusi’s wedding over the weekend.

Management of music group Wutah is promising Ghanaians that the duo is back for good.
According to Wutah Family International, the duo, made up of Frank Osei known as Wutah Afriyie and Daniel Morris also known as Wutah Kobby, have finally put aside their differences to work together again.
