Dobble Has A Surprise For Ghanaians At VGMA – Paa Kwesi

Paa Kwesi, a half of the defunct music group, Dobble has said the group is lacing its boot to surprise Ghanaians on April 8 if their song, Christy wins the categories which they have been nominated for.

Christy has been nominated for highlife song of the year and most popular song of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The public is confused on who among the two will take the plague if their song wins the awards at the 18th VGMA which will be held on April 8 in Accra.

But speaking to Kofi Asante on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio, Paa Kwesi said: “The public has been asking about this for some time now. They are confused about who will go for the awards but we want to keep it as a surprise. But on the day when they mention…and the award goes to … Then we will surprise Ghanaians”.

He was however; coy as to who among them will keep the plague but said that will not be a problem because they would have found a way of keeping it if they were together as a group.

On his solo project, the highlife singer said God has been faithful to him since he has not faced difficulty in been accepted by the public.

The eighteenth edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will be held in Accra on April 8 to celebrate Ghanaian music and contributors to the music industry.

Ennwai, the other half of the group, on his part mentioned that he had not thought about that but indicated that if they should win, they may both come for the award on the day or their management under which they recorded the song will come for it.

He, however, complained about how difficult his solo project has been because they (Dobble) broke the heart of Ghanaians and it will take time to warm himself into the hearts of his fans as a solo artiste.
